Viva Zeigler Obituary, Viva Zeigler Has Passed Away

Viva Zeigler Obituary, Death Cause – Viva A. Zeigler, who was 85 years old and a resident of Mount Vernon, Washington, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late E. Dean and Mabel L. (Fawcett) Billman and was born in Gambier on May 31st, 1938. Her mother’s maiden name was Fawcett. Viva had been a faithful participant in the activities of the Salvation Army Church and the Home League Ladies Fellowship Club for a significant amount of time. She had served as a 4-H Advisor in the past and was a member of the Sew and Hope Garden Club in addition to a large number of other local garden groups.

She was the type of person who would happily invite anyone over for dinner and would always leave the door unlocked. Viva was an elegant woman who was also a devoted mother and a woman with beautiful hair!! Viva is survived by her daughters, Lisa Poole of Akron and Dana Zeigler of Mount Vernon; a brother, Burl (Martha) Billman of Gambier; six granddaughters, eight great-grandchildren, and five adopted great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a large number of close friends. Viva will be greatly missed by all. Her five brothers, Neil, Gail, Roger, and Darwin Billman, as well as her sister Mary Billman, all passed away before her.

At the Salvation Army Church on Monday, July 10, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 NOON, there will be a visitation for the deceased. Where funeral services will be held immediately afterward at noon, with Captain Christine Moretz serving as the officiant. Union Grove Cemetery may be found at 7740 Grove Church Road, Gambier, Ohio 43022; this is where the burial will take place. The Zeigler family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to the care of the Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel.
