Tikivanotau Jonassen Obituary, Tikivanotau Jonassen Has Passed Away

Tikivanotau Jonassen Obituary, Death Cause – It has come to our attention that Pp Dr. Jon Tikivanotau Michael Jonassen has passed away, and we are deeply saddened by this news. During this trying time, we want you to know that we are keeping your family and friends in our thoughts and prayers. #Sharing the following excerpt from what Linda, one of our Reo Mori Kki’irani tutors, just posted: You were a man of height who was blessed with many abilities; you chronicled and shared your knowledge without seeking personal gain, inspired and encouraged a great number of people, and brought the Cook Islands to the attention of the world.
You have a wealth of experience and insight, and yet you have never stopped working hard for our people, all while keeping a low profile and keeping your humility. Your deeds were more convincing than words could ever be, and you left traces of evidence behind you wherever you went on this earth. You were able to make a lot of your dreams come true, but you still had many more! Papp, there is a great deal that can be said and shared about you, but no words can adequately express what an incredible guy you were. We are grateful that you took the time to talk to the students at the Centre for Pacific Languages.

This opportunity was made possible by our va’ine toa’s, Jarcinda Stowers and niece Tu. You have left great treasures in our hearts, to continue pursuing, to study, to teach, and to share our language and culture with others! Mareta Tere and I shall be eternally thankful to you for your assistance! I am appreciative of the words of support and the insight you shared! You once advised me, “Never take time for granted, keep writing, write anything that comes to mind, one day, it will all come together and tell your story!” and I have taken your advice to heart. Wow!🥲 #RESTINLOVE Pictures taken by the Cook Islands Business Network while you were a guest there the previous year
