Rodney Clark Obituary, Death Cause – Rodney Lee Clark, 78 years old, of Mattoon, Illinois, passed away in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at 3:48 in the morning. On Friday, July 7, 2023, at twelve o’clock noon, funeral services commemorating his life will get under way at Schilling Funeral Home, with Dr. John Calio serving as the officiant. After the funeral, the burial will take place at Zion Hill Cemetery with full military honors. At the funeral home, there will be a visitation for family and friends beginning at eleven in the morning and continuing up until the time of the ceremony.

Rodney’s parents, Hubert and Betty Clark, as well as his brother, Dick Clark, as well as his grandparents, Lawrence and Ruby Bosley and Frank and Iva Clark, as well as his in-laws, Roy and Ola Wheeler, and his sister-in-law, Marcella Clark, all passed away before him. Between the years of 1965 and 1969, Rodney proudly served in the United States Navy. In the year 2000, he took his retirement from the Maintenance Department at Lake Land College. Rodney attended the First Southern Baptist Church in Mattoon, where he was an active member. At Yellowstone, Rodney had a great time riding snowmobiles. Rodney Clark, the son of Hubert and Betty (Bosley) Clark, was born on July 1, 1945 in Mattoon, Illinois. His parents’ names are Hubert and Betty. Hobert and Maxine Clark, both of whom have passed away, were Rodney’s parents and reared him. The wedding took place on August 6, 1972, and Sue Carolyn Wheeler was his bride. His beloved wife of 50 years, Sue Clark, one brother, Jack Clark of Olney, Illinois, two nephews, David Clark and Shawn Clark, a great niece, Jessica, and a great nephew, Carson, are among his survivors. He was married to Sue Clark for a total of 50 years.
