Jeffery Lyman Obituary, Death Cause – On July 3, 2023, at the age of 73, Jeffery W. Lyman, who resided in Rochester, Minnesota, passed away without incident. Jeffery Ward Lyman was the son of John B. and Rosetta Mae (Teal) Lyman and was born on December 25th, 1949 in the city of Duluth, Minnesota. Following the transfer, he completed his secondary education at John Marshall High School in Rochester, Minnesota. He was born into a musical family, and during his senior year of high school, he was a member of the band Stormy Monday’s Band, J.C. and thee Apostles, which took first place in the Battle of the Bands competition held at the Olmsted County Fair.

On May 10, 1967, Jeffery enrolled in the United States Marine Corps. He served until January 12, 1968, when he was honorably discharged from the service. He was also awarded the National Defense Medal in addition to the Marksmanship Rifle Badge. On October 3, 1970, he tied the knot with Pamela Cox, and the couple has been blessed with two children. They eventually got a divorce. In 1973, just a few short months after the passing of his father, Jeffery was engaged in a car accident that would forever alter the course of his life.

After that, he moved in with his mother, who provided him with attentive and loving care, and he assisted his mother in operating the Spring Valley Motel. Early in his career, he held jobs at Hanny’s, Shakey’s Pizza, and Mutual of Omaha Insurance, among other places. In subsequent years, he was employed at ABC as well as the Rochester Recreation Center. Jeffery was a talented musician who enjoyed playing the bass guitar and harmonica. His favorite music was from the 1960s. He like to go fishing, spend time outside, and eat, particularly a juicy California burger, spaghetti, or steak. Both Emmanuel Baptist Church and the American Legion Spring Valley Post 4114 counted him as a member at one point.
