James Rodgers Obituary, Death Cause – James “Buddy” William Rodgers, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the Westford Nursing Home in Port Elgin, New Brunswick. He was a resident of Whitney Pier, Nova Scotia. Our hearts are filled with sorrow as we share this news with you. James Rodgers was the son of the late Frank and Margaret (MacPhail) Rodgers. He was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia. After working for the NSLC for a significant amount of time, Buddy took early retirement in 1993. He was a passionate photographer who also cherished the time he could spend with his loved ones and close friends.
His wife of 58 years, Marjorie (née Smith), his daughters Sharon (Mario) Bourque, his granddaughters Olivia, Victoria, and Mackenzie, and his extended family, which includes many nieces and nephews, will miss Buddy very much. Buddy was the only member of his immediate family still alive when he passed away. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three sisters, Minnie Wolodka, Rita Burt, and Margaret Fraser, as well as his brothers Murdock and John. The cremation of Buddy has taken place in accordance with his desires. At a later time, there will be a committal service performed at the cemetery in the Forest Haven Memorial Garden in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
