Christopher Stumpf Obituary, Death Cause – On May 10, 2022, Christopher Mountjoy Stumpf, age 53, passed away as a result of problems that arose during an outpatient operation. Chris Stumpf was born on May 22nd, 1968 to parents named George and Ellen (Duane). He spent his youth in the close-knit neighborhood of Hillsborough, New Jersey, riding bikes, playing with friends, and generally taking in all that the area had to offer.

Chris pursued his love of exploration after graduating from high school, and it was in the mountains of Clemson, South Carolina, that he met Amber, the woman who would become his wife. Before being married on September 25, 1999, they spent their early years together boating around Lake Keowee and rooting for the Clemson Tigers in college football games. Since that day, he has never once stopped loving, supporting, and encouraging her in all of her endeavors.

Chris and his wife welcomed their first kid in 2002, and shortly after that, Chris decided to commit himself to becoming a stay-at-home dad. He amassed a large collection of Jeeps over the course of his life and was frequently seen driving around town in one of them. In most cases, he was on his way to watch his daughter dance at the dance studio, the Athey Fields, the Fauquier County Roller Hockey League rink, the Haymarket IcePlex, or one of the many other hockey, soccer, or lacrosse fields. He never missed a beat and was always there for his family, especially his children.

Chris was also a devoted friend to a large number of people. Breakfast with the boys, barbecues in the driveway, pool parties in the summer, and countless games of corn hole, darts, or Rook were some of his favorite things to do. He also enjoyed hanging out with the guys. Everywhere he went, he was guaranteed to bring merriment, laughter, and mayhem with him. The’sandals’ he wears will never be filled.
