Buddy Cline Obituary, Death Cause – On June 25, 2023, Ronald Keith “Buddy” Cline, who was 87 years old and from Suffolk, Virginia, passed away without incident. He was the son of Glenn L. Cline and Glennie L. Cline, and he was born in Hickory, North Carolina. Sara Shine Cline, who had been Buddy’s wife for 56 years, passed away before him. He is survived by his daughter, Alison Cline Darden and her husband, Adams, and their children, Ned and Virginia; his daughter, Shelley Cline Atkinson and her husband Mike, and her children Brennan, Sara, and stepson Dalton; his son, Mark Glenn Cline and his wife, Susan, and his children Jack and Willow; and his close friend, Meriel Burgess Vail Wright.

Buddy was a man of impeccable integrity who loved without conditions and gave freely to all around him. He had the ability to bring out the best in people and to make everyone feel at ease. Spending time with his family and friends, working to his garden and fruit trees, watching the birds on the Nansemond River, and refining his handmade peach ice cream were among his favorite things to do in his spare time. Buddy, a kind and loyal husband, spent the past 15 years providing his wife, Sara, with the best care while she fought against Alzheimer’s illness. Buddy had a significant influence on the world, and his generosity and love served as an example for everybody.

He is also survived by his daughter, Shelley Cline Atkinson. Buddy is also survived by his sisters, Norma Cline Warren, Barbara Cline Ryder and her husband Bobby, and Gail Cline Jackson and her husband Jack, in addition to a large number of nieces, nephews, and relatives. Norma Cline Warren is Buddy’s only surviving sister. His sister Wanda Cline Taylor had passed away previously before he did.
