Annmarie Garraffo Obituary, Death Cause – Although she enjoyed listening to music and was a major Michael Jackson fan, she was happiest when she was with her family. Annmarie had the heart of a child, and she took on the job of Aunt with complete enthusiasm. When an aunt does not have any of her own children, the meaning of the appellation “aunt” is changed. She welcomes her nieces with open arms and a lot of love and treats them as if they were her own children. It would not be at all surprising to find Annmarie interacting and having fun with her nieces as though she were one of their closest companions. All of those who had the good fortune to know and love her will miss her very much after her passing.

After a brief bout with illness, Ms. Annmarie Garraffo, age 59, of Waterbury, Connecticut, died away in a calm and comfortable manner on Thursday, June 29th, 2023, at Autumn Lakes Health Care Center in Waterbury. She was surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Annmarie Garraffo was born on May 13th, 1964 in Waterbury, Connecticut. She is the daughter of James Garraffo, who passed away, and Josephine (Salamone) Garraffo.

Who also passed away. She attended Watertown High School after growing up in the Watertown region and receiving her diploma from there. Annmarie worked as a nurse’s aide for a number of years at a variety of medical institutions located around the region. Some of these facilities included the Whitewood Manor and the former Waterbury Extended Care. Annmarie adored going on impromptu vacations and was a huge travel enthusiast. She particularly cherished her time spent in Hawaii, California, and on a variety of cruises. Annmarie was happiest when she was with her brothers and nieces at family picnics.
